in corporate prayer
- To engender a greater awareness of the need for corporate
prayer, working towards monthly prayer meetings
- To maintain a regular opportunity for prayer after
the service
- Beginning occasional prayer for healing times where
the special emphasis in prayer is for people’s healing
2. To develop the teaching program
- By commencing an in-depth Bible study program
- By teaching a special Scripture overview course
- By teaching the congregation about how to read the
Bible
3. To develop a more strategic
approach to local evangelism
- To plan and commence the ‘Introducing God’
course, and the use of ‘Journeys’ in the small
groups
- To run pre-evangelism courses such as ‘The Marriage
Course’ and ‘Parenting Toolbox’
- To plan and run some special evangelistic services
through the year
- To encourage the congregation to make personal evangelism
a way of life
4. To develop a greater mission
focus
- By sending a short term mission team to Ecuador and
fostering a closer ongoing relationship with the church
in Loja
- By commissioning Mel Price to serve the Lord with OM
and supporting her in every way
- By being proactive in promoting beach missions and
summer camps, and hearing reports at the Sunday services
- By forming a Missions Committee who will help lift
the profile of missions in the church
5. To invigorate small groups
- To maintain a higher participation rate within the
church
- To appoint a new coordinator of small groups
6. To maintain a loving and caring
community where all are welcomed, accepted and nurtured
7. To review current facilities
- To continue current spruce up of the interior
- To repair the roof
- To develop an outdoor entertainment area beside the
‘Shack’
- To reinvestigate a plan for future development
8. To aim for operating excellence
in all we do
- To form a Coordinating Team to manage the church ministries.
- To formalize the incorporation of Edge Church
- To develop church administration and the management
of the office
- To establish appropriate appraisals of all staff
